I just received the two plates I ordered from Jenya today. They're even more impressive when you see them in front of you. The detail is awesome. This woman is obviously not just another pretty face. We've seen them before, here, but I'm so pleased I thought I'd show you the ones I purchased.
Those are my two favorites of what she has posted. So, Jeff, tell, where on the web do you go to make a purchase or request her to create a plate. I may be interested in buying one someday
Yeah. I loved the one with the kid holding the snowman head and thought it would make a great Christmas gift. I contacted her, immediatly, thru her art site below and told her I wished to purchase it and commission another winter/Christmas scene for my other daughter. I gave her my email and she got back to me within 24 hrs with a price. She then came up with the Polar Bear and his cool tracks. She's really creative. Her brother wants her to do a cat with a rat. I hope she does and puts that on Facebook. I think it would be a smart move to buy one. I believe the value will increase but if not you still have a nice little plate that is usable or very gift worthy. She paints them with a special ceramic paint and the fires them in an oven to 'set' them. She signed them with her initials on the bottom of the plates and sent along a nice handwritten Thank You note. Here is her Art Website. Just click on Contact Me on her site and send your request and information.

Wow, very nice purchase Jeff. Not only are they by Diordiychuk, but they're also quite beautiful.
Thanks D.J. I love them. I also got a bit of information I had not seen previously. She 'signed' her 3 initials on the underside of the plates. I emailed her asking about them and she responded this morning.
"Good morning Jeff))
Yes, it's the initials to my name. It stands for Eugeniya Alexaderovna Diordiychuk."
I did not know of a middle name prior to this email. thought you might be interested.
The middle name always refers to the first name of the father, Alexander (Aleksandr). This then becomes, for a woman Alexandrovna, for a man Alexandrovich.
Thanks Ton. Cool info. Is that a Ukrainian custom or just European in general.
It's certainly not a custom in the UK. I got middle named after one of the frickin Beatles. Ugh.
Nice. If only some of his wealth came with the name.
Ringo?
It's still normal in Russia or Russian cultures (and therefore Ukraine). In Russian language it's called отчество - father's name. Apparently in English the word is patronymic, that's what this page tells me: https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=ru&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=https%3A%2F%2Fru.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2F%25D0%259E%25D1%2582%25D1%2587%25D0%25B5%25D1%2581%25D1%2582%25D0%25B2%25D0%25BE&edit-text=
In many European countries, like Holland, it used to be common as well, but it died out at least a century ago. Also in the UK it existed, where apparently the name Wilson comes from 'son of William'.
