I'm not sure it's a painting; unless Perez has really changed his style. I'm tempted to say it is a poor quality photo from the time when she did her 'sitting' for the paintings. Perez has very distinctive brush marks on his paintings. Plus this new image isn't signed like the one below.
At first glance I thought it was a photograph, too. However, I saved the pic to my hard drive and then zoomed in on it. If you do that, it does not, to me anyway, appear to be a photograph. Yes, I did notice that it is not in Perez's normal style. I also noticed that this photo/painting is far removed from the study photos and the eventual painings that were published. So, I will not say it is not a photo, but it doesn't look like one to me. But I know how to find out. You are a member of her Facebollk page, I know. And Instagram, I think. If you ask her, maybe she'll reply.
Well, she looks a littlle more like herself in this one. Could be worse, but if somebody buys this thing for $35,000 it couldn't be better!
