ODE TO A PARROT

I have a new boyfriend

He's as faithful as can be

I taught him to say "I love you"

Each time he first sees me

I shower him with love and care

And he responds to me

Oh, yes, he is my boyfriend

Though a birdbrain he may be.

You should post this on her Facebook page below the picture of her and the parrot she first posted. She'd probably get a kick out of it. You could even translate with a site like

She's responded to me a couple of times when I commented on things in Russian. It's a crap shoot. Some times certain things are 'lost in translation' so I don't send them.
